Mountain Brook chef announces new restaurant, MARO

Birmingham-area chef Abhi Sainju, owner of Abhi Eatery and Bar in Mountain Brook, just introduced a new restaurant concept coming soon to Mountain Brook. Here’s what we know so far about MARO.

MARO, your new favorite fast-casual dining spot

Chef Abhi made the announcement via Facebook on Wednesday, September 27, and local foodies rejoiced.

Minutes from his other Mountain Brook restaurant, MARO will be a fast-casual spot. According to Birmingham Restaurants, this Asian fusion space will serve Thai and green teas, bao-mi, signature poke and a build-your-own poke feature.

Offering dine in, take out and delivery, MARO will be your new favorite local cuisine.

How soon can I visit Mountain Brook’s new restaurant?

There aren’t details on an opening date just yet, but a sign is displayed loud and proud on the building—which means good news is coming soon.

MARO neighbors Sons Donuts and Pops in Lane Park, and is down the street from local favorites such as Ladybird Taco and Jeni’s Ice Creams. This new spot will fit right into the fabulous neighborhood food scene.”
