3 other reasons to check out the Hoover Library
1. They may be the only library in the country with their own facility dog
Since September 20, Libby, a standard poodle, has been working as a facility dog at the Hoover Public Library. Her job, which she obtained after extensive training with FIDOS Facility Dogs, is to make the library welcoming for all who visit. Unlike a service dog, who works with one person only, Libby can spend time with anyone to make their time in the library even better, and anyone can pet her. She’ll even sit next to you while you read her a story.
2. The Library Theater has a fantastic theater + concert lineup
Five of The Library Theater‘s 2023-24 performances are sold out, but you can still get tickets to three of their upcoming events:

“Since its inception, the Hoover Library has always tried to be more than ‘just’ a library. For the past four or five years, we’ve been trying to do even more beyond our four walls, because we are all about community. Everyone is welcome—we think you’ll find something here for you.”
