Happy Monday, Birmingham! It’s a beautiful day in The Magic City and we’re excited for some awesome new openings. Ready to dive in? Check out all the fun details below.

1. O’Neal Library | Mountain Brook

Looking for a good read? The O’Neal Library is getting ready to re-open on Wednesday, September 20. Located at 50 Oak Street in Mountain Brook, the library is a great place to study and get work done or check out the newest book.

2. Ahki’s | Downtown

There’s a new spot in downtown Birmingham, serving up New York-style Mediterranean street food. AHKI’s creates made-from-scratch bowls featuring gyros, hummus and rice, fresh tomatoes and peppers plus their signature white magic sauce. This family-owned restaurant is ready for customers on 20th Street N across from Paramount.

3. Jim ‘N Nick’s | Greystone

Jim ‘N Nick’s Barbecue at Greystone is officially ready for business after remodeling. As one of the original Jim N’ Nick’s locations, the restaurant prides itself on its Southern hospitality. Come enjoy the renovations over biscuits, pork, brisket, chicken and more.

4. Chick-fil-A | Hoover

The Chick-fil-A at Patton Creek is back open. After a complete interior and exterior renovation you can now enjoy an expanded drive-thru and delicious chicken.

5. Marketplace on Main | Gardendale

A new brick-and-mortar market called Marketplace on Main is open for shoppers! Marketplace on Main, which describes itself as a “carefully curated small business incubator”, is home to 17 vendors plus more coming soon. All the shops specialize in everything from personalized crafts to furniture.

6. Cala Coffee | Downtown

Cala Coffee is opening its second location downtown in the former Revelator Coffee space. The coffee shop sells teas, matcha and all types of drip and espresso coffees. Keep an eye out for more details on when you can stop by for a delicious drink or pastry.
