About Carrigan’s Beer Garden
Carrigan’s Beer Garden—originally known as Brät Brot—was opened in mid-2018 by local businessman David Carrigan, owner of Carrigan’s Philanthropub in downtown Birmingham. Fans of the Lakeview “biergarten” enjoyed the establishment for its wide selection of German beers as well as a delicious German-centric food menu, such as pretzels, beer-cheese dip and the beloved Schnitzel Fingers.
In 2019, Carrigan’s Beer Garden temporarily closed while the owners redesigned the experience based on input from an audience survey. After the temporary hiatus, the new Carrigan’s Beer Garden reopened in early 2019. Changes included an expanded drink list with popular spirits and cocktails, exclusive evening hours, more intimate seating options and outdoor games like corn hole and ping-ping for guests.
