Guten Tag and Hallo! Get ready to create awesome memories and embrace the spirit of German heritage this year with Oktoberfest events happening all over Birmingham. Keep reading for the details.
1. Oktoberfest at Cahaba Brewing Company—September 16
- Why go: Join your friends at Cahaba Brewing in the Taproom for excellent craft beer, great food, cocktails and great times as they celebrate the release of their seasonal Oktoberfest canned beer. The Current will have bratwurst, pretzels and more for snacking. The fun doesn’t end there, make sure to check out the photo booth, live music and legendary Stein hoisting competition.

2. 2023 Oktoberfest Games @ The Beer Hog—September 16
- Why go: It’s time once again for The Beer Hog’s Annual Oktoberfest Games. Enjoy $5 brat boxes along with a variety of local and German Oktoberfest beers. Hey BeBe Food Truck will also be selling some new menu items.

3. 2023 OMBC Oktoberfest—September 16
- Why go: Come on out to Oak Mountain Brewing on September 16 for good times and great beer. They will be selling Oktoberfest Marzen-style Lager on draft as well as 2023 OMBC Oktoberfest t-shirts. Food trucks and live music will be happening throughout the day so you won’t want to miss it.

4. The Son of a Butcher Oktoberfest—September 17
- Why go: Yellowhammer Brewing Co. and Hop City Birmingham are hosting their very first Oktoberfest collaboration. Come try their limited edition Butcher City beer only available on Sunday, September 17. They will also be grilling Doppelbrats with German inspired sides.

5. Birmingham Zoo Oktoberfest—September 23
- Why go: Beer lovers, get ready. Enjoy a huge selection of authentic German beverages from the finest German breweries, including Hofbrau. Attendees will get to delight in tasty food selections from local food trucks and the Zoo’s restaurant, Nourish 205, will be hosting a build-your-own Brats, along with other Oktoberfest-themed snacks and small bites. Must be 21 or older.

- Why go: Enjoy a week of games, beer, brats and celebration featuring Birmingham’s largest selection of German Oktoberfest Beers on draught at Carrigan’s Beer Garden.

7. Birmingham District Brewing Oktoberfest—September 29-30
- Why go: Celebrate Oktoberfest with a special beer release and an electrifying live performance by Daniel Bowden. The fun continues on September 30, with activities like Hammerschlagen and Stein Hoisting, along with FREE hot dogs & brats (while supplies last). And don’t forget, dressing up has its perks—come in costume for a chance to win an awesome prize.

8. Cullman Oktoberfest—September 28-30
- Why go: Create fun-filled memories and embrace the spirit of German heritage at the 2023 Cullman Oktoberfest. Immerse in German heritage while celebrating the fun of the season with attractions for all ages. The streets will be filled with lively music, cultural displays and delicious German cuisine.
- When: Thursday, September 28, at 4PM to the closing of the Hofbrau Biergarten on Saturday, September 30 at 11PM

9. Brats, Beers & Cheers!—September 30
- Why go: Mark your calendar for an Oktoberfest like no other. Celebrate with house-made beer brats $1 off per lb, pretzels & beer for $5, specials on drinks, free growler with beer or kombucha purchase from POURS, fun games, samples throughout the store, giveaways and more.

11. Oktoberfest at Ghost Train—October 6-7
- Why go: Come out to the 1st Annual Oktoberfest at Ghost Train. They have joined forces with the Alabama Germany Partnership to bring an Alabama authentic version of this centuries old celebration. Get ready for a weekend filled with amazing German-Style beers and fun activities that celebrate the true spirit of Oktoberfest.
