12 art classes in Birmingham you’ll want to sign up for now

The fall season is a wonderful time to let your creativity flow. From painting to pottery, here are 12 art classes coming up around the Greater Birmingham Area that all ages will enjoy.

1. Ceramics: Wheel Throwing with Kimberlee Campbell at Space One Eleven

• What you’ll learn: How to use the pottery wheel to create unique, functional ceramic pieces using ceramic clay and food safe glazes. 
• Skill Level: Ages 16+, Beginner-Intermediate

2. Acrylic Painting Class at Alabama Art Supply

• What you’ll learn: Acrylic painting techniques through one-on-one instruction from Birmingham artist Susan Oliver.
• Skill Level: All skill levels welcome
• When: Ongoing classes available Tuesdays, 1-3PM

5. Art Classes for Children at Art Zone

• What you’ll learn: How to draw plants, animals, people, imaginary creatures, landscapes, still lives and cartoons. Children will learn not just to copy, but to think, generate ideas and lead the picture to a finished point with a story and meaning behind it.

• What you’ll learn: How to paint a “Happy Lil’ Shroom on 16” x 20” canvas.
