Last week, the classic Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL) returned to Starbucks. Is it too soon? Who cares!
If you’re wondering when Birmingham coffee shops are jumping on the trend, look no further. We’ve got five cozy places around Bham you can get your PSL fix plus other fall drinks and treats.
1. Red Cat Coffee House
We can’t make a coffee shop guide without mentioning the Birmingham classic, Redcat. It comes as no surprise that they’ve already jumped on the PSL game and introduced more beloved seasonal menu items. Here’s a sneak peek:
- Apple turnover
- Brown Sugar Latte
- Caramel Apple Latte with cinnamon
- Pumpkin + chocolate chip muffin

2. Red Mountain Expresso
At Red Mountain Expresso, you can get your coffee fix on the go. The spunky and warm staff greeting you as soon as you pull up can only mean one thing: they make a great PSL.

3. FILTER Coffee Parlor
Nestled in Five Points South, FILTER is a great place to sip over a homemade PSL with friends. The flavor is out of this world, and you’re gonna want to try it for yourself. Don’t blame us, though, if you keep going back for more.

4. Continental Bakery
If you know me, you know I’m a sucker for anything Continental Bakery sells. They’re officially selling their Pumpkin Spice Latte and other yummy fall drinks, and they hinted at more delicious pastries and pies being available very soon.

The drive-thru coffee shops seem to be a trend. We’re not complaining. Bullet is fast, fun and makes a mean Pumpkin Spice Latte. Don’t just take our word for it, though. Try it out for yourself—you can thank us later.
