1. Sidewalk Film Festival
- What: Sidewalk Film Festival is a week-long celebration of films and filmmakers in the heart of downtown Birmingham. Stop by and enjoy some great productions and party the night away.

2. Arts Block Party
- What: Coined as a “moveable feast,” the event includes the opening of two exhibitions at Abroms-Engel Institue for the Visual Arts (AEIVA), an ArtPlay kids zone and clay art activities with UAB Arts in Medicine. There will be food trucks, music and lots of art!
- When: Friday, August 25 | 5-9PM

3. Babypalooza
- What: New and expectant parents, this one’s for you. Babypalooza is the ultimate one-stop-shop for all of the resources and information you need when preparing for your baby, and this is the first time they’re back at The BJCC since the pandemic.

- Where: The BJCC East Ballroom
- Cost: FREE to all expectant mothers, partners, friends + family

4. The Bell Center Tailgate Challenge
- What: Join The Bell Center for the competition of the year as teams square off to see who can create the best tailgating experience. This family-friendly event invites football fans to sample delicious food and drinks from some of Birmingham’s best tailgaters.

5. Carrigan’s 10th Anniversary
- What: Carrigan’s Public House—a beloved bar and gastropub on Morris Avenue— is celebrating its 10-year anniversary with a big announcement! Starting this Saturday, Carrigan’s will operate as a “philantropub”—a philanthropy-focused restaurant that will donate all profits back to the community!

6. National Dog Day
- What: Two by Two Rescue will be hosting multiple pet adoption events to help find foster dogs their fur-ever homes. Want to volunteer? Check out the info here.

7. The 3rd Annual MGB Culture & Community Fest
- What: This festival will be held with vendors, live music and activities for all ages. All net profit will benefit The Modern Green Book road to success Small Black Business Grant.
