Children’s of Alabama has selected Hueytown to house a new medical practice in the West Jefferson County town.

Called Pediatrics West Hueytown, the new location is expected to break ground by the end of this year and to open in Fall 2024. It will be located North of the Old Warrior River Road intersection at Allison Bonnett Memorial Drive.

Best patient care services coming to Hueytown

The new medical practice will ensure that all children from newborns to 18 years of age in Hueytown and surrounding communities have access to the best patient care services, which includes:

  • Diagnostic testing technology
  • Medication management
  • Immunization administration
  • And other health services including emergency services

The new health center will be open 6 days a week and provide the services of five board-certified full-time pediatric doctors.

‘We are happy that Pediatrics West Hueytown will improve the quality of life for not only Hueytown but also the surrounding communities,” stated Hueytown Mayor Steve Ware. “In addition to providing care for children who are sick, have chronic illness or in need of emergency care, pediatric physicians are also essential in caring for the physical, emotional and psychological needs of our children by working directly with families and caregivers.”
