Early this morning, August 21, Birmingham Fire and Rescue responded to a fire that destroyed Birmingham night club Luxe Ultra Lounge. Keep reading to find out what we know so far.

Popular night club faces devastating loss

Birmingham’s Luxe Ultra Lounge, located on 24th Street South, is a popular spot that caters to those over the age of 21. A classic spot for R&B and Hip-Hop, Luxe Ultra Lounge often showcases music from local DJs as well as national artists.

A spot for fun times and conversation, this fire has caused great loss for those who frequent the local night club.

Cause of fire still unknown

According to ABC News, authorities said that the call came just before 3AM early Monday morning, August 21. The night club was closed at the time of the fire and fortunately there were no injuries. It was also reported that power lines were affected and resulted in electricity being shut off for two blocks.

Local authorities have not released a statement about what caused the incident. Word on reparations to the club will be made once the cause is determined.
