Sponsored in part by Dora + Sanjay Singh Cultural Arts Fund, the Arts Block Party is a memorable night of art, music and food trucks.

Coined as a “moveable feast,” the event includes the opening of two exhibitions at Abroms-Engel Institue for the Visual Arts (AEIVA), an ArtPlay kids zone and clay art activities with UAB Arts in Medicine.

Learn about various UAB organizations at their table displays, then immerse yourself in a new culture at Red Baraat live in concert. This North Indian-inspired group is known for its singular sound with elements of hip-hop and jazz.

MOMIX
Lose yourself in the power of the arts. (UAB Arts)

Art—whether it’s expressed through song, dance or painting, is an outlet for expressing emotions, communicating ideas and so much much more. Knowing this, UAB Arts is dedicated to providing the Birmingham community (and beyond) with challenging and thoughtful art experiences.

UAB Arts’ website states their commitment to give back to our neighborhoods through creative education.

“Collectively, we are able to bring our community together through events, classes and performances that immerse individuals in a world of creativity. We believe that the arts are transformative—that they entertain, educate and heal.”
