Reading time: 2 minutes
The Nike Factory store at the Outlet Shops of Grand River will be closing after 13 years, reports the Birmingham Business Journal. The Leeds outlet mall has recently signed on several new retailers slated to open in the coming months.
Nike Factory closing sales
The location opened in Leeds in 2010. Now, it will be shutting its doors at 6200 Grand River Blvd E. to make room for new retail stores.

Out with the old, in with the new
According to the Trussville Tribune, the outlet mall has signed on new tenants, including:
- Journey’s
- Mountain High Outfitters clearance store
- PUMA
- Windsor
- Adidas
- Francesca’s
- Leggings Park
While many of these retailers like Journey’s and PUMA celebrated their grand opening in June, Adidas is slated to open in August.
Nike coming soon to The Summit
As reported earlier this year by Bham Now, a new Nike store has popped up at The Summit. A sign that reads “Nike by Birmingham coming soon” is up in the area that houses Urban Cookhouse, Sono Bella and Blue Sushi Sake.
The addition is part of a slew of new stores and renovations going on at The Summit this year. Earlier this Spring, expansions were made on the Apple Store as well as a $5.1M renovation of the Summit AMC 16 theater.
