NEW Condado Tacos to open in Cahaba Village, July 14

Earlier this year, Bham Now reported that an award-winning build-your-own-taco concept Condado Tacos would be opening their first Alabama location in Cahaba Village this summer. That time has come—Condado Tacos plans to open on Friday, July 14th! We got a sneak peak inside the restaurant to learn more.

About Condado Tacos

For the uninitiated, Condado Tacos is a build-your-own taco concept that prides itself on offering craveable, clean, GMO- and preservative-free ingredients and an assortment of tacos for everyone! Founded in 2014 in Columbus, Ohio, Condado Tacos has grown to 40+ locations over the past seven years. Now, their very first Alabama location—in Cahaba Village along 280—is gearing up for its grand opening.

“First timers that dine at Condado Tacos can expect a fun, colorful energetic experience with craevable, clean and freshly made tacos, dips and bowls, along with delicious Margs made with fresh fruit purees and 100% agave tequilas, all in an array of hand painted colorful murals done by local artists and themed to that particular location. The artwork for this new Cahaba Village location was completed by a team of 10 local Birmingham artists, who painted a Taco Twist on Greek Mythology.”

The unique build-your-own-taco concept is one of the major draws to Condado Tacos. Their tacos aren’t just delicious—they’re clean, fresh and preservative free. Plus many of their offerings are made in-house, including their chips and queso.

Some fan-favorite tacos include:

• Lucy’s Fire — Sweet Lucy shell + Firecracker, roasted chicken, lettuce, cilantro-onions, smoked cheddar, corn salsa & cilantro-lime aioli
• Smoked Cheddar Queso — Made with smoked cheddar, tex-mex ground beef and pico de gallo
• Blue Dream — Flour tortilla, queso blanco + Kewl Ranch shell with Tex-Mex ground beef, lettuce, tomato + avocado ranch sauce

That’s not all—Condado Tacos plans to launch a NEW taco in along with the opening of their Cahaba Village location—the Southwest Midwest Feeding America Taco! A portion of the proceeds of this taco go towards their company goal to raise $100,000+ to help alleviate hunger.
