Blind Dog’s story
Quinton Craig and his wife Natalie purchased the company two and a half years ago from Samford professor Lisa Baker. According to Craig, the origin of the name comes from Baker’s experience with her blind pup.
“The story behind the name is that [Baker] moved to a new home, and began to make and hide treats around the house so her dog can navigate and learn his way around her new house. That’s how she came up with Blind Dog Biscuit Co.”Quinton Craig
Formerly operating at markets like Pepper Place, their new storefront is located at 2717 7th Ave S. in Lakeview, near the Tin Roof and Jack Brown’s.
What to expect
Blind Dog sells all natural dog treats that are made by hand and available in four flavors– beef, peanut butter, pumpkin, and country ham and honey. Not sure which to choose? They also offer a mix of all four– gumbo.
Alongside their biscuits, they also offer a self-serve wash station and grooming stations if your furry friend needs a fresh look.
With their selection of pet apparel, bandanas, bowties and handmade collars, your pet will be looking as stylish as ever.
