1. Tommy John | The Summit
Shop for comfortable men’s and women’s undergarments soon at The Summit. Tommy John will be opening its first Alabama location this summer. Stay tuned for a grand opening date and details to come.

2. Crumbl Cookies | Highway 280
Delicious cookies are making their way to Highway 280. Crumbl Cookies is no stranger when it comes to Birmingham. This will make the third location in the Birmingham area and we can’t wait. Expect a weekly rotating menu with flavors of your dreams like Cinnamon Frybread. They taste as good as they look and come in a signature pink box!
3. Terrific New Theatre | Downtown
Terrific New Theatre bought a new building on 5th Avenue North across from the Redmont Hotel. The local nonprofit is known for producing captivating live performances since 1986. The theatre has plans to be open for shows in 2024.

4. Neighbors | West Homewood
It’s back! The beloved local ice cream shop, Neighbors, has re-opened in time for summer! The shop is located directly across the street from Patriot Park and has great hot-weather treats.

5. Emerald Lounge | East Lake
Emerald Lounge had its grand opening June 3 and is open for business. Stop by for a luxurious drink experience and enjoy unique cocktails, outdoor seating, VIP room and more.

6. Faraway Theater | Highland Park
According to the Birmingham Business Journal, local improv group Gladys has signed a lease for a roughly 900-square-foot theater space. Expect improv classes, shows and resources for actors in the local improv and comedy scenes.

7. 7 Brew Coffee | Jacksonville
Jacksonville may be about an hour from downtown Birmingham, but if you’re traveling around the state this summer, plan to make a pit stop at 7 Brew Coffee.
