Each year, Vulcan Park & Museum pulls out all the stops to celebrate a magical birthday with Vulcan, and this year is no exception. 

Here are some things to expect during the celebration on Sunday, June 4:

• Music by DJ Shay
• Performances by the Clog Wild Cloggers + exciting dance demos
• 17 local vendors like the Birmingham Squadron
• Kids’ activities for all ages including moonwalks + face painting
• And much more!

There will also be returning favorites, like the always-popular trackless train, fun activities with Game Stop and guest appearances from Princess Tiana, Spiderman, Miss Alabama 2023 and even Vulcan himself. (I’m sure Vesta will also pop out to shout “Happy Birthday!”)

Tasty food & drinks

It’s not a party without refreshments. Show up hungry because Vulcan’s 119th Birthday Bash will be stocked with tons of great options from local food trucks and more. 

Here’s what’s on the menu:

• Aww Shucks—gourmet fire-roasted corn specializing in unique flavors such as Garlic Herb Parmesan + buffalo ranch
• Coca-Cola products—including Coke, Diet Coke + Sprite
• Who Dat Sno Cones—for summer-friendly ice cold treats
• Naughty But Nice Kettle Corn Co.—serving fresh, addictive, sweet and salty kettle popped corn

Beer and wine will also be available for purchase, so bring your ID if you’re 21 and over.

• Leave your fur babies at home—no pets are allowed at Vulcan Park & Museum during Vulcan’s 119th Birthday Bash or other special events.

• Onsite parking is limited. Free shuttles will be available from the Jefferson County Board of Education parking lot across Valley Avenue to Vulcan Park & Museum.
