1. It’s a Soul Thing-Taylor Hicks in Concert
- What: Alabama Game Changers and the Samford University Wright Center present American Idol Season 5 winner Taylor Hicks in concert. Hailed as “part Stax, part Motown and part honky-tonk” by The New York Times, Hicks’ intoxicating blend of soul, blues, country, and rock ‘n’ roll quickly rendered him a household name.

2. Period Party: Beer, Bands and Bingo to End Period Poverty
- What: Punch out period poverty and support Bundles of Hope during this party featuring beer, bands and bingo. Sign up for the RUN.PERIOD.5K portion of the event to get a free beer voucher (21+) and a signature event drink.

3. Black Business Market
- What: Enjoy a day of food, shopping and fun with local Black vendors, while celebrating culture, community and youth in Birmingham.

4. Do Dah Day 2023
- What: Do Dah Day is back this year! Stop by Cahaba Brewing with your friendly pet and enjoy a day of fun, local vendors and tons of cute furry-friend.

5. 12th Annual Bow-Up Against Breast Cancer
- What: Calling all bowhunters and archers! Make plans to attend the Bow-Up Against Breast Cancer 3-D Archery Tournament benefitting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama at Cullman Archery Park on May 20 and 21.
- When: Saturday May 20-Sunday, May 21

6. Cultural Collateral – A Black Art Group Exhibition
- What: The Fairfield Black Art Collective Collective hosts its inaugural event—a powerful group art exhibition showcasing the works of Black artists from Fairfield, Birmingham and surrounding areas. This event will also benefit the Fairfield High Preparatory School marching band to continue efforts to support the existing fine arts programs in the Fairfield City Schools.
