1. FIVE
Live music, good food, and mimosas– what more could you ask for? FIVE in Lakeview is having brunch Saturday, May 13 and Sunday, May 14 from 10AM-3PM. In addition to chicken and waffles and breakfast cheeseburgers, there will be live jazz starting at 11AM each day. They don’t do reservations, so make sure to get there early.

2. Trattoria Zaza
A pizza and pasta restaurant serving brunch? It’s true, and it’s delicious. Zaza in downtown Birmingham will be serving brunch 10AM-2PM Saturday and Sunday. Offering a daily breakfast menu featuring dishes that incorporate “Italian ingredients and Southern know-how”, such as mascarpone-stuffed French toast, breakfast pizza, seasonal frittatas and more, Zaza brunch is a must-try.

3. The Essential
The Essential isn’t one of Birmingham’s top brunch spots for no reason. They’ll be open Saturday, May 13 and Sunday, May 14 serving brunch from 9AM-2PM. Their brunch menu is unmatched, offering specials like the brioche French toast with blueberry compote and ricotta or hash with eggs, conecuh bacon, potatoes and pickled peppers. Pair it with a mimosa or espresso and you’re set.

4. The Yard at Elyton Hotel
Enjoy a special Mother’s Day brunch at The Yard in the Elyton Hotel, featuring a selection of delicious breakfast and brunch specialties like the shrimp and grits or the spicy chicken biscuit. They’re serving breakfast 7AM-9AM and brunch 9AM-1PM, so make a reservation now so you won’t miss out.

5. Ruby Sunshine
Ruby Sunshine is all about brunch every day of the week. Stop by their Homewood or 280 locations and see for yourself why they call themselves “brunch-obsessed”. They’ll be serving classics 7AM-3PM al weekend, including fried green tomatoes, loaded tots and six different types of eggs Benedict.

6. Roots & Revelry
Located on the second floor of the historic Thomas Jefferson tower on 2nd Ave N, Roots & Revelry is serving up brunch this Friday and Saturday 11AM-3PM and Sunday 10AM-3PM. 7. Biscuit Belly
Get your brunch fix at Biscuit Belly in Hoover. They’re serving up all kinds of breakfast goods 7AM-2PM every day, including pancake corndogs, biscuit sandwiches and praline parfaits all morning.

8. Automatic Seafood & Oysters
Believe it or not, one of the best dinner restaurants in town also serves weekend brunch. Recent James Beard Award winning Automatic Seafood & Oysters is serving brunch this Mother’s Day 10AM-2PM. Get your mom a mimosa, some delicious French toast and a few fresh oysters and she’ll be a happy clam.
