Vulcan Park & Museum may have new walking tours on the books this spring, but did you know its Birmingham Walking Series has run for the past 17 years? This exclusive walking series features educational, fun tours that explore the architectural beauty and history of the The Magic City. 

If you’re wondering what makes the walking series so successful, here’s some insight: 

  • They give participants an up-close look at Birmingham’s rich history, culture and even hidden architectural treasures.
  • They are chock-full of education as well as fun and invigorating.
  • They are led by local historians and architects who know all there is to know about The Magic City. Meet them here.

Beginning this April, Vulcan Park & Museum’s Birmingham Walking Tours offers two brand-new tours sponsored by The Caring Foundation of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama, Spire and Stone Building Company.

1. Breathing Life into Landmarks

This fascinating trek on Saturday, April 29, highlights some of the Birmingham’s most cherished landmarks including visits to some of the 12 most in-demand properties around the city.

You’ll also explore the strong role tax credits played in revitalizing these buildings and the positive impact they have had on the community.
