STUDY: Birmingham named 5th best place to celebrate Easter in the U.S.

Birmingham is the 5th best city to celebrate Easter in the U.S., according to the personal finance website WalletHub.

Earlier this week, the group released their 2023 Best Places to Celebrate Easter report.

Using 12 different key metrics, they surveyed 100 of the largest cities in the U.S. 

How did Birmingham nearly top the group? Here is how The Magic City fared in 5 of the top categories. 

  • 1st – Churches per Capita
  • 6th – % of Christian Population
  • 54th – Candy & Chocolate Stores per Capita
  • 16th – Flower & Gift Shops per Capita
  • 27th – Brunch Restaurants per Capita

The cities ahead of Birmingham in the survey are Pittsburgh, Buffalo, El Paso and New Orleans.

Notable cities near Birmingham rankings include:

  • Atlanta – 12th
  • Memphis – 39th
  • Nashville – 46th
