4 new businesses coming to Birmingham including a seafood restaurant

The Greater Birmingham area is getting bigger with these awesome new openings. Read on for all the details about these additions below, from a new seafood spot to customized gifts.

1. Queen Krabz | Center Point

A new seafood restaurant has hit the scene in Center Point. Queen Krabz opened on Saturday, March 18 in Center Point Parkway next to Food Giant. The restaurant’s most popular dish, Royal Lobster Plate, includes lobster tail, crab legs, jumbo shrimp, corn, potatoes, sausage and a signature butter sauce. The eatery also offers non-seafood items.

2. Fitzgerald Leon on 1st & The Full Effect | Downtown Birmingham

Brittany Godwin of Fitzgerald Leone on 1st and Jasmine Rhodes of The Full Effect are opening a new location together in downtown Birmingham. This hair salon and suite will offer hair services to everyone.

3. Food Giant | Five Points West

Alabama neighborhood grocer, Food Giant, has opened in the Birmingham Five Points West Neighborhood. The store will be supported by Meat Depot, who will run the meat department. Here’s what Mayor Woodfin had to say:

“We are delighted to now have more convenient access to fresh, healthy foods to support healthier lifestyle choices. Having conveniences like a floral section and deli with steam table to be able to purchase hot prepared meals is a game-changer.”

4. Southern Sassy Creations

According to the Birmingham Business Journal, a new storefront for customized gifts and accessories has officially opening in Pell City. You can purchase a wide variety of items from shirts to tumblers and more.
