Led by Chief Executive Officer Michael Bartell of Encompass Health Lakeshore Rehabilitation Hospital, this year’s walk continues American Heart Association’s mission to celebrate survivors of heart disease and strokes and raise lifesaving funds.
“The Heart Walk is all about promoting the health and well-being of our community and supporting our lifesaving mission. With the event taking place shortly after American Heart Month, now is the perfect time to sign up and commit to living a healthy life.”
Lizzi Willicott, Executive Director, American Heart Association Birmingham.
Every dollar raised from the Birmingham Heart Walk goes towards research, advocacy, CPR training and to promote better health in support of the Association’s goal in reducing barriers to health care access and quality.
