The beloved Bay Leaf, after over two years of serving modern Indian cuisine, is closing the doors to its 280 location. Don’t worry, you’ll still have access to their delicious eats in Five Points South. Keep reading for everything we know.

Bay Leaf is consolidating operations to Five Points South

The 280 closing will be effective immediately. The decision came as a result of an ever-evolving market and its impact on staffing and resources.

“The decision to close our Highway 280 location was not an easy one. We will not compromise on quality or service. We transitioned this location to fulfill take-out and catering orders only in fall 2022 so we could continue serving our guests in the area, but found our resources are most in-demand at our Five Points South location.”

Thankfully, they’re looking forward to serving their fabulous Indian cuisine to Birmingham for many years to come in Five Points South. Phew! The Tikka Masala will still be a part of my weekly rotation.

“Whether it’s mealtime and you’re in need of a relaxing dine-in experience, or you wish to take your food to-go, the Bay Leaf Five Points South team is ready to serve.

We can also accommodate a large party, private dining needs for groups, and catering for crowds of all sizes. Our dedicated team also stands ready to craft and fulfill orders made via phone, online ordering, or through our trusted third-party delivery services.”
