After a gray and chilly winter, we’re all in need of some warm sunshine and time outdoors. Get ready to celebrate, because spring festivals are underway! From the Patton Creek Art Festival to the first ever Magic City Mimosa Festival, here’s the list of must-attends coming up around the Greater Birmingham Area this spring.
March 2023 Events
1. 19th Annual Chili Cook-Off
What: Chow down on deletable chili at this family-friendly event benefiting The Exceptional Foundation. From all-you-can-eat chili to live music and a kids’ zone, a good time will be had by all. More info.

2. BBQ Fest

3. Grill to Build BBQ Competition & Festival
What: Want to help build homes in the community without lifting a hammer? Attend Habitat for Humanity’s 12th annual BBQ Competition & Festival on Saturday, April 11. As grill teams compete for the best ribs, chicken + brisket, you’ll get to sample it all and vote for your fave. Live music + kids’ activities are also part of the day’s event. More info.
