After a gray and chilly winter, we’re all in need of some warm sunshine and time outdoors. Get ready to celebrate, because spring festivals are underway! From the Patton Creek Art Festival to the first ever Magic City Mimosa Festival, here’s the list of must-attends coming up around the Greater Birmingham Area this spring.

March 2023 Events

1. 19th Annual Chili Cook-Off

2. BBQ Fest

What: On Saturday, March 18, all of Bham’s best barbecue trucks set up shop at Ghost Train Brewing for a day of good eats + live music from DJ Coach. Some food trucks to expect include Fat Charles, Rodney Scott’s + Black Box BBQ. More info.

3. Grill to Build BBQ Competition & Festival

What: Want to help build homes in the community without lifting a hammer? Attend Habitat for Humanity’s 12th annual BBQ Competition & Festival on Saturday, April 11. As grill teams compete for the best ribs, chicken + brisket, you’ll get to sample it all and vote for your fave. Live music + kids’ activities are also part of the day’s event. More info.

This fun-filled day includes local vendors, food from local eateries like Wasabi Juans + Waffle Stop, live music from Skylar Wallace and Matt Broach, grape stomping + lots of wine. More info.

12. Magic City Wine Fest
