1. Custom Cars, Motorcycles, Trucks and More
Held at the BJCC each year, the O’Reilly Auto Parts World of Wheels Custom Auto Show features hundreds of vehicles. At World of Wheels, you’ll find classic cars, custom builds, hot rods, muscle cars, exotic cars, race cars, trucks, motorcycles and much more on display. Many of the vehicles’ owners will be there to answer any questions, too!
This year’s highlights include:
- A talking replica of the Knight Industries Two Thousand (K.I.T.T.) from the 80’s TV show Knight Rider.
- A fully-restored 1984 Copper Saleen Mustang! One of two Saleen’s ever made, this car was nearly lost to a fire but has been restored to showroom quality. Plus, several other select Saleen vehicles will be on display.
- The Weil Wrecker Service Monster Truck.
- Davey Allison’s #28 NASCAR vehicle.
2. Celebrity Appearances & Live Performances
Throughout World of Wheels weekend there will be plenty of opportunities to meet with some of your favorite car-related celebrities. This year, those celebrity appearances include:
Joe & Amanda Martin — This husband & wife duo are two of the stars of Iron Resurrection, a TV show in which Joe Martin and his crew give broken & rusted out vehicles a second chance. Joe and Amanda will be at World of Wheels on Saturday, February 4th from 11AM to 2PM and 4PM to 6PM.
Jimmie Walker — This American actor and comedian is best known for his role as J.J. Evans on the 70’s TV show Good Times and for his character’s catchphrase, “Dy-no-MITE!” Jimmie will be at World of Wheels on Saturday, February 4th from Noon to 3PM to sign autographs and take pictures.
Jim Howe — One of the stars of Street Outlaws No Prep Kings, Jim is a 2nd generation drag racer who began racing at the age of eight, when he raced motorcycles less than 250cc in a program called Junior Eliminator. Jim—and his 1968 Camaro, “The Guardian”—will be available for pictures all weekend!
That’s not all!
On Friday, February 3rd, country music duo Thompson Square will turn heads with a live performance at World of Wheels, starting at 6PM. Stick around after the show to get an autography from Keifer and Shawna Thompson, the husband & wife duo themselves.
