6. Birmingham Artwalk

7. Thornton Dial: I, Too, Am Alabama
What: The first retrospective covering Thornton Dial’s entire career and the first large-scale exhibition of his work in his home state of Alabama. The exhibition features masterworks spanning Dial’s entire career including sculpture, works on paper and assemblages, with many works that have never been previously exhibited or published. What: Browse hundreds of plants available for purchase during the Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens’ annual plant sale. 11. Magic City Harvest’s annual Tailgate fundraiser
What: Support Magic City Harvest and their mission to end waste and end hunger. All you have to do is pick up food from Rodney Scott’s and Little Donkey in Homewood on Friday, September 16 from 2-7PM and proceeds will benefit the organization.
