On June 21, Bham skaters came with their boards to the opening of City Walk Skatepark to check out this new skating spot. It’s Birmingham’s biggest skatepark, so, of course, we were there on opening day.

57,000 square feet of fun for everyone, City Walk is the new outdoor hangout spot in town. Organizations involved in the launch and building of City Walk Skatepark include:

The skatepark is just the newest phase of City Walk BHAM. The transformative park development is under the new I-59/20 Bridge in downtown Birmingham.

Do you want to learn how to skateboard? Parents are able to head to Action Park Alliance to book lessons for kids, including:

BMX
Inline skating
Scootering
Skateboarding

We can’t wait for the other fun outdoor activities that will be coming to City Walk soon. These include a recreational sports space and a roller rink. In the meantime, we’re going to work on some new tricks at this skatepark.
