3 new shops coming to The Summit + more openings to know about
Get ready to shop! We’ve got the scoop on three stores headed to The Summit, plus more openings to get excited for around Birmingham.
Coming Soon to The Summit
Bayer Properties has announced The Summit will soon have three new additions—all slated to open in late 2022. Here’s a peek at each:
1. Buckle
If you’re a fan of Buckle, you’ll love this! The store will soon open its second location in Birmingham at The Summit. (The first location is at the Riverchase Galleria.)
Here you can shop an ever-changing selection of denim, apparel, accessories and shoes. You can also work with their denim experts because let’s be honest, the one clothing essential we all need is the perfect pair of jeans.

2. Evereve
With 100 stores across 30+ states, The Summit is Everett’s first-to-state location. A modern boutique for women, the shop features clothing, shoes and accessories. I gave it a look online and it quickly became a new favorite.

3. Pandora
Love jewelry? Shop hand-finished and contemporary jewelry from Pandora. The shop has previously held retail space at The Summit, but will soon reopen.

Open for business
4. Frothy Monkey
If the name doesn’t grab you, the space, drinks and menu will. Taking over the former Urban Standard on 2nd Ave North in Birmingham, Frothy Monkey is the newest coffee shop to hit the block. Sure, it may be a coffee shop, but trust us, it’s anything but typical. Here you’ll find:
- A specialty roaster and whole sale bakery
- An all-day cafe serving brunch, lunch and dinner
- Wine Down Wednesdays where you’ll get a flight of three wines and an individual cheese board
- And more!

5. Ironstone Pizza
You can’t beat diving into a delicious piece of pizza and now you can at Ironstone Pizza in Trussville—now open under new management and ownership.
Located in the Homestead Village shopping center next to Jimmy Johns and the recently-opened Five Guys, here’s a peek at the menu:
- The Cahaba—Alfredo sauce, spinach, mozarella cheese, roasted chicken, red onion, mushrooms + ricotta
- Ironstone Wings—6, 10, 15 or 20 piece
- Chopped Salad—romaine iceberg lettuce, bacon, egg, cherry tomatoes, cheddar cheese, ranch dressing + fresh herbs

6. Chipotle Mexican Grill
Just one day away from opening on Thursday, June 30, a new Chipotle can be found in Birmingham off Lakeshore Parkway in Wildwood Centre. Along with tasty eats, the new location will feature a Chipotlane—a drive-thru pickup lane—for easy grab-and-go service.
