Designed by Betsy Brown
We are huge fans of Betsy Brown, who designed this amazing home for her sister. When we asked Betsy what she prioritizes when she begins designing a space, she told us that authenticity and comfort are the most important factors to her.
“A space isn’t comfortable if it feels inauthentic or forced. Organic materials and a beautiful layering of personal possessions are the secret to a comfortable space.”
Betsy Brown
Her favorite room to design in any home is the living room where people spend time together. This might be our favorite room in this loft, too. Just look at those windows.
“My favorite spaces are those where people gather in groups—living rooms or family rooms. It’s a fun puzzle to create seating that will hold a good number of people but will also provide sanctuary for someone spending time alone.”

Dream home
There is nothing not to like about this home. When Betsy was helping her sister choose a home, The Franklin Lofts were the perfect choice.
“My sister needed a beautiful, safe, comfortable refuge, but wanted it to feel like an adventure. It was her first opportunity to live downtown, so the rooftop terrace and walkability to fun restaurants made it the perfect choice. Her friends drop in for cocktails and they all walk together to The Essential, La Fresca, Bamboo, Helen, or any one of the amazing spots downtown. All are just a few blocks away!”
Betsy Brown
She designed the loft with a dramatic, yet soft and organic look in mind. She made sure the home included comfortable seating where a number of people could gather, a nice work space and a dining area where friends could stay a while after dinner.
This loft really is the dream home. Want to see it for yourself? Request info or schedule a showing today!
