On March 1, they opened a 10-day NFT auction. Top bidder gets the NFT and two tickets to every 2022 Protective Stadium event.

“Within just a few months of opening, Protective Stadium has been able to attract new tenants, hold multiple large-scale events and host tens of thousands of visitors. There’s been so much excitement around what’s to come, and we look forward to building on this momentum by supporting initiatives that give back to our community.”

—Tad Snider, Executive Director and CEO, BJCC Authority

One of the first NFT auctions from an entity in Alabama

According to Protective Stadium, this is one of the first-ever NFT auctions from an entity in Alabama. Welcome to the future.

NFTs are “unique digital assets that are secured and contained on the blockchain. The blockchain verifies ownership, provenance and transaction history,” as defined by Protective Stadium. They compare it to a unique digital trading card. In this auction, you can bid on The Protective Stadium Gates Open NFT, a digital piece of art depicting Protective Stadium.
