Popular local Mediterranean café opens new restaurant in Gardendale

Earlier this week, Birmingham-based Taziki’s Mediterranean Café celebrated the ribbon-cutting of their 10th restaurant in the Birmingham area. Located on the corner of Fieldstown Road and Mount Olive Road in Gardendale, the new restaurant brings delicious Mediterranean cuisine to the Gardendale area. Keep reading for more details!

According to a news report by the Birmingham Business Journal, Taziki’s, a Birmingham-based chain of Mediterranean restaurants, has officially opened their 10th location in the Greater Birmingham area. Located in Gardendale, the new location has been opened since November—however, the team celebrated the restaurant’s grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, December 7th.

The opening comes just a few days after two national restaurant chains—Olive Garden and Longhorn Steakhouse—announced plans to open new locations in Gardendale by 2023.

Gardendale’s newest restaurant is an important milestone for Taziki’s. The very first Taziki’s opened at the Shoppes of Colonnade in Birmingham in 1998; now, Taziki’s operates a total of 10 restaurants in the Birmingham:
