We’ve wrapped up another impactful Breast Cancer Awareness Month. And for Birmingham companies like ARC Realty, giving back is a crucial part of company culture. This year, they got extra creative with their “Blue Goes Pink” fundraising efforts. Read on to see how they raised BIG money for Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama. You may just get an idea or two for your next fundraiser!
1. Dunking their coworkers
Who would turn down the opportunity to dunk their boss or coworkers? ARC Realty kicked off their “Blue Goes Pink” campaign with a day of dunking, and it was a hit.
They gave agents the opportunity to buy tickets to dunk their brokers and staff, and raised over $2500 in one afternoon!
2. Donating to Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama for each new listing
We all know the real estate market has been hot these days. Throughout the month of October, ARC Realty donated $25 for each new listing.
Bonus: Agents made donations out of their commission proceeds towards the campaign.
3. Creating custom merch
I am a sucker for some good merch. Do I have 100+ t-shirts in my drawer? Yes. Do I need another one? Also yes.
This year, ARC Realty made custom water bottles and t-shirts to support their “Blue Goes Pink” campaign. Merch sales topped $650, so I guess Birmingham agrees with me… there’s always room for another t-shirt!
4. Painting the town pink for Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama
If you visited an ARC Realty office in October, you were greeted with a sea of pink. From banners to riders and balloons, they went all out.
They even had an interactive mural (shown above) to get Birmingham into the giving spirit.
5. Hosting community events
We love any excuse for a party, especially if it’s for a great cause. This year, ARC Realty hosted the community at On Tap Sports Cafe for an evening of fun, food and plenty of cold beer.
The team raised over $4,000 at the event on Thursday, Oct. 28.
The 2021 gift to Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama
In total, ARC Realty raised $12,808 in October 2021. Combined with past efforts, this brings their cumulative donation to Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama to over $35,000!
