According to the Birmingham Business Journal, popular brunch franchise, Flying Biscuit Café, is expanding their Birmingham café location for easy to-go and catering services for their customers. Here are the details.
Birmingham’s Flying Biscuit Café
Flying Biscuit is an all-day breakfast restaurant that provides traditional and healthy breakfast options for our morning meal lovers—the ‘Three Amigos Breakfast Tacos’ is a must-try!
They opened their first Alabama restaurant in Birmingham back in 2019 at the Shops of the Colonnade off Highway 280.
Plans to soar
Flying Biscuit Café shifted their business focus to pickup and delivery orders throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. To support this shift, the owners plan to increase their suite by 6,000 square feet.
Owners Joe and Greg Yund are leasing the space next door for a new to-go and catering area—in the former Marco’s Pizza space.
Keith Shamblin, Shannon Waltchack‘s broker, spoke about the expansion and is also looking at other spaces throughout Alabama that would be perfect for the franchise.
“I am excited to continue working on site section with the Yunds. Their restaurant has a big following in Birmingham, and we are excited to introduce the concept to new markets in Alabama.”Keith Shamblin, Broker, Shannon Waltchack
