Behind the upcoming hotspot is Jay Williams and Adrian Williams—both entrepreneurs with strong backgrounds in Birmingham.

Jay is the creator of J Wings, the popular restaurant known for its fiery wings, and is also co-owner of Safe Room, an upscale, basement-style lounge and bar in downtown Birmingham.

Adrian manages multiple J Wings locations and is also owner/operator of Salon Persuasive in downtown Birmingham.

“We are so excited about the city’s growth and development and the role we’ve played in that so far through both J Wings and SafeRoom. Following the success of those ventures, we started asking ourselves, What’s next for Birmingham, what else could thrive in the Magic City? It was those questions, a great deal of brainstorming and market research that led us to the idea that is now Social.”

What to expect

From a curated menu featuring small plates, specialty brunch items and smoky cocktails to an event destination, Social will offer a fun spot for Birmingham’s creatives, trend-setters and business leaders to meet and gather.

“This will be the place to celebrate, savor and surrender to a good time.”

Adrian Williams

Social will occupy the first and second floors of the Studio Arts Building at 1034 20th Street South in Birmingham’s 5 Points South.

Currently, there is no set opening date, but we will keep you posted as more is revealed.
