1. EDEN Lounge
A new upscale bar and lounge is making its way to Birmingham’s Southside. EDEN Lounge is expected to open this Summer and will feature craft cocktails and signature drinks.
The goal of the new biz is to bring a new vibe to the city and give visitors the chance to grub at the Sahani food truck that’ll serve Kenyan cuisine on site.

2. O’ Henry’s – Vestavia Hills
One of Birmingham’s favorite coffee shops is expanding to a new location in Vestavia Hills. O’ Henry’s Coffee is moving to a spot in Patchwork Farms shopping center.
The cozy coffee shop will be in the former Chronic Tacos location. Right now you can grab a cup of joe at their locations in Homewood, Highland Park, Brookwood Village and Hoover.
Who doesn’t love a good set of quality active wear? The well-known brand, Fabletics, is coming to The Summit this Spring. This line of athletic essentials created by Kate Hudson currently has fifty stores and this one will be the state’s first.
Look forward to unique in-store experiences including events, free workouts and access to new collections. Find the upcoming storefront near The Summit’s Shake Shack.
4. Dear Prudence
The Summit is welcoming another retailer this Spring by the name of Dear Prudence. The women’s fashion boutique will open near Urban Cookhouse and has plans to open on March 15.
This will be the boutique’s fourth location in the country. You can expect unique clothing, jewelry, gifts and more all from brands that are made right here in the U.S.
5. Art & Soul
Time to tap into your creative side at Bluff Park’s newest art studio. Art & Soul offers art lessons in the afternoon as well as select weekend classes.
The studio is located near Bluff Park Ice Cream Shoppe and Mr. P’s Deli. Check out the latest mural making Mr. P’s building pop in Bluff Park.
6. Workspace Birmingham
Not in the office, but not feeling the work from home situation? Well, you may want to check out Shelby County’s newest coworking space. Workspace Birmingham is open in Pelham and offers:

- Group coworking spaces
- Meeting rooms
- Reserved desks
7. Taziki’s – Gardendale
The Birmingham-based chain, Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe, is opening a new location in Gardendale later this year. This will be the 10th location in Birmingham and according to the Birmingham Business Journal, the construction will take approximately six months.
Until then, check out their multiple locations around the area when you’re craving fresh, Mediterranean cuisine.
