What are your plans for Halloween this year? If you’re looking for somewhere to celebrate, Iron City has you covered with the annual A Nightmare on 22nd Street Halloween celebration. Here’s a few events you don’t want to miss!
Specialty Cocktails + Adult Trick-or-Treat
Each year, Iron City makes a special cocktail for A Nightmare on 22nd Street. Last year’s was the Black Cat Cocktail—loaded with raspberry liqueur, blue curaçao, lemonade and Cathead Honeysuckle Vodka, the drink was a hit!
This year’s recipe is a bit of a secret, but we do know that Cathead Vodka will be making a return. We can’t wait to try it!
And have you heard of adult trick-or-treating? At the event, take a trip to the upstairs mezzanine, where guests (21+) can try several different specialty shots using tokens purchased at the bar.
Costume Contest + Photo Booth
One of my favorite parts about A Nightmare on 22nd Street is the annual costume contest. Grab your best friends and put your costume-making skills to the test. The winner gets a bundle of Iron City merch!
And while you’re there, step inside the photo booth to immortalize your costume get-up. A trip to the photo booth is just $5, and all proceeds go towards the Greater Birmingham Humane Society.
Live Music from DJ Mark AD
It’s safe to say that Iron City knows a thing or two about music—just take a look at some of the artists that have graced Iron City’s stage throughout the years. Taking the lead on live music at A Nightmare on 22nd Street is local artist DJ Mark A.D.
Personally, I hope he plays the classics—Monster Mash, Thriller and Werewolves of London.

Obviously, this year’s Nightmare on 22nd Street is a little different. In order to ensure the safety of their guests and staff, Iron City is taking several precautions:
- All guests must wear a mask, unless eating or drinking.
- Iron City will take the temperature of each guest before entering the venue.
- If you have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the previous 14 days (prior to the event), please do not come to this event.
