Birmingham based Freedom Soap Company is so much more than their name implies. They’re known for their all-natural soaps and skincare products, but now they are adding more sustainable and eco-friendly goods to their inventory.

Keep reading to get a sneak peek, plus find out how you can win a bunch of Freedom Soap goodies and donate to a local environmental organization at the same time.

New Products, Same Mission 🌿

From the beginning, Freedom Soap Company’s mission has been to create all-natural, palm oil-free, luxurious soaps and skincare products that are good for customers and good for the environment. Not only are they still focused on supplying Birmingham and beyond with natural soaps and skincare products, but they recently added more eco-friendly goods to their inventory.

Of course, we had to get our hands on some of their latest additions. Keep scrolling for a sneak peek.

Local T-Shirts

These tees are the stuff. They are made from 100% organic cotton—which uses less water, no pesticides, and keeps plastic bottles out of landfills + our oceans. They are also screen printed using 100% soybean-based products—not the typical petroleum-based inks and cancer-causing phthalates found in typical screen printing ink and cleaner/solvents.

All t-shirts are $29.95 and come in a size small to a 2X large.

Reusable Bamboo Straws

We’re all about these bamboo straws. Not only is bamboo one of the most sustainable resources on earth, but it also has antibacterial properties and doesn’t have the metal taste that you may get from some metal straws.

Freedom Soap Co. is now selling bamboo straws from Bamboo Step USA with all kinds of options including:

  • Travel Kits| $8.95
  • Individual Straw Kits | $4.95
  • Long Individual Straw Kits | $5.95
  • 6 Pack Straw Kits | $12.95
  • 12 Pack Straw Kits | $18.95

Freedom Soap Co. has more sweet sustainable goodies up their sleeve. Stay tuned to their social channels for new sustainable product drops coming soon.

The Good Doesn’t Stop â™»ď¸ŹđźŚŽ

Freedom Soap Company is already doing lots of good, and they’re not stopping. They are already on to their next big idea—partnering with local environmental groups to direct a percentage of proceeds from different products to a good cause.

The Birmingham business community has a rich history of partnering with local non-profits. We want to continue that history by supporting the many local environmental non-profits that help protect the diverse wildlife and precious natural resources we have right in our backyard!

Anne and Vince Schilleci, Owners of Freedom Soap Company

Are you involved in a local environmental group and think this is a cool idea? Contact Freedom Soap via email at or via phone at (205) 783-1171 to get more info.

Shop Local + Save the Earth (one bar of soap at a time) 🛀

By shopping with Freedom Soap Company, you’re supporting a local, family-owned small Birmingham business AND helping the environment. We’re not saying you’ll save the earth by purchasing a really good bar of soap, but it’s certainly a good start.

They also sell other natural products including lip balms, solid scents, bath salts + scrubs, soap dishes and beard balm + oil.

Freedom Soap Co. is also one of the first skincare companies in the U.S. to be certified as palm oil-free by the Orangutan Alliance—a huge accomplishment for the Schilleci’s.

“While palm oil itself is all natural, the reckless deforestation of rainforests in Asia (where 85% of the world’s palm oil is produced) is a major cause of carbon emissions leading to global warming and the extinction of many animals in Asia, including the orangutan.”
