Photos: Montgomery-based seafood restaurant expanding to Pelham and Irondale
Seafood lovers in Irondale and Pelham rejoice—The Juicy Seafood, a seafood chain based out of Montgomery, is expanding to two new Birmingham locations. Although The Juicy Seafood is only open for carryout at the moment, they are offering a 20% discount on all orders.
The Juicy Seafood
Based out of Montgomery, The Juicy Seafood specializes in—you guessed it—Cajun style seafood. Crab legs, shrimp, lobster, mussels, clams and more—you name it. Just imagine a family crawfish boil, and you’ll have a pretty good grasp.
In addition to their popular Montgomery location, The Juicy Seafood has several locations throughout the Southeast, and one all the way up in New York City. Now, they’re bringing their seafood to Birmingham.
Pelham & Irondale Locations
- Pelham Hours: Sunday-Thursday 11AM to 10PM, Friday & Saturday 11AM to Midnight
The Juicy Seafood recently opened their first Birmingham-area location in Pelham. The restaurant held a soft opening on June 15, offering guests a chance to sample their Cajun-style seafood and have a taste of all that Juicy Seafood has to offer.
Meanwhile, The Juicy Seafood is opening an additional location in Irondale. Although we don’t have a set date, the restaurant is aiming to open in late June or early July.

The Menu
Birmingham is a wonderful place for seafood lovers, and it’s about to get a whole lot better. The Juicy Seafood’s menu has something for everybody—here are a few items that stood out to me:
- Fried Oyster Basket (10) + cajun fries or onion rings — $13
- (Seasonal) Blue Crab + corn & potatoes — $15
- Shrimp + corn & potatoes — $20
