Let’s shamrock and roll Birmingham—St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner. No need to worry about any pinching happening over here—these events are decked out in green.
St. Patrick’s Day at Five Points South, Mar.12-17
A LOT is happening in Five Points South throughout the week. Since 1984, Five Points South has thrown one of the best St. Paddy’s day celebrations in Birmingham. Oh, and they are Birmingham’s newest entertainment district as well.
In addition to these events, Five Points South will continue food and drink specials from local restaurants and bars during St.Patrick’s Day. Don’t make a jig mistake—head over to one of these celebrations.
36th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Mar.14
First and foremost, let’s start with the big shebang. Throughout the day there will be kids’ activities, live music and drink specials. Not to mention amazing brunch and dinner options to keep you going through the night.

5th Annual Irish Flag Raising & The Great Birmingham Irish Toast, Mar. 12
Kick-off the week with a tribute from the Birmingham Irish Cultural Society. Listen to a sick bagpipe performance and receive a blessing from the local Irish community.
The fun doesn’t stop there—the bagpipes will lead a procession to Brennan’s Irish Pub for The Great Birmingham Irish Toast. Invite your biggest group chat, because they’re aiming for the LARGEST St.Patrick’s toast.

40th Annual Birmingham Irish Cultural Society Irish Dinner, Mar.13
You won’t run into any bad luck this Friday the 13—only the luck of the Irish at this special dinner benefiting Kid One. Enjoy traditional Irish food, Irish dance and traditional music.

Support the Dannon Project, drink great beer and get those 10,000 steps in for the day. Now if only every race was like this, I’d do a lot more of them.
The Dannon Project is a local nonprofit providing services to promote permanent employment, holistic health, and stable families amongst poor and at-risk communities.
