When it comes to huge music acts, Iron City is one of Birmingham’s best event venues. But did you know that they also host private events? From weddings to corporate events, Iron City can turn your party into one unforgettable night. Find out how.

Perks of Partying at Iron City

1. Professional Lighting and Audio

Iron City has hosted hundreds of national and international acts, such as Father John Misty, Snoop Dogg, and even B.B. King. It’s no secret that their sound system and audio visual capabilities are top-notch. Backed by an expert lighting & sound crew, Iron City offers up anything from a huge projection screen to custom lighting.

2. The Open, Multi-Level Venue is Perfect for Any Event

Arguably, the most important aspect of an event venue is the venue itself. And that’s where Iron City excels. Spacious and inviting, the venue can accommodate any event–and that’s what sets them apart from the rest.

  • The sunken dance floor is perfect for guests who want to bust a move, boogie, or strut their stuff.
  • If dancing isn’t your thing (me), the main level is perfect for socializing.
  • Up top, the mezzanine level offers extra seating and an unforgettable view of the entire venue.

3. Iron City Grill Offers Up Mouth-Watering Catering

At each private event, you can get fresh and unique dishes catered in-house from Iron City Grill. With a wide variety of options, the Grill can liven up any party with food, such as:

  • Lunch and dinner buffets
  • Hors d’oeuvres
  • Carving boards

Plus, each dish is crafted with fresh local produce and ingredients, so you know it’ll be delicious.

What Kind of Events Does Iron City Host?

Corporate & Non-Profit Functions

You don’t need to blast dance music to take advantage of Iron City’s event venue. This open venue is perfect for all sorts of business functions. For instance, Alabama Launchpad hosted iMerge 2019 at the venue last year. Their huge projection screen comes in handy at events like these.

P.S. we even celebrated Bham Now’s 3rd birthday at Iron City back in August!

All Your Wedding Needs

If you’re planning a wedding in downtown Birmingham, there is no better choice than Iron City. In fact, they were awarded the 2017 The Knot Best of Weddings as well as the 2017 Couples Choice Award.

In addition, the venue is perfect for any type of wedding-related event, from bridal showers to bachelor parties.

Fraternity & Sorority Formals

During my time in a college fraternity, we did almost everything wrong when it came to planning a formal. Whether we forgot to schedule transportation or waited too late to plan the event, something always went wrong.

However, if we chose to let Iron City host formal, I know it would have gone off without a hitch (mostly because we wouldn’t have the responsibility of planning the party!)
