If you’ve never been to a children’s consignment sale, you’re probably wondering what to expect at the Giggles and Grace Consignment Sale. Just imagine the cutest Black Friday sale ever, but with better hours and way less elbowing.
With space for up to 425 consigners, the sale is huge! Can you guess how many volunteers it takes to organize and run the sale? Over 350.

One volunteer you may meet at the sale is Misty Fingar. This will be her fifth year helping at the event.
“I really like the camaraderie that forms. When you participate for so many years, you start building new relationships with people and you look forward to seeing them at each sale, catching up and having some fellowship together.”
Fingar’s also found some pretty amazing deals throughout the years. At the top of her list are Matilda Jane clothing, furniture and strollers.
Now, onto the many items you’ll find at the sale:
- Clothes and shoes
- Books, puzzles and toys
- Furniture and decor
- Strollers and car seats
- Swings, bouncers and highchairs
- And more!
As you can see, the Giggles and Grace Consignment Sale offers almost everything you need to survive as a parent.
The deals are unbelievable, too, with prices ranging from $5 to $100.
Psst! On Saturday, February 22 from 8AM-Noon, select items will be half price.
More Ways to Save
The deals mentioned above are one way to save on pricey baby and children’s items. But Giggles and Grace provides even more ways to save.
For those who need extra assistance providing for their children, Giggles and Grace offers shopping vouchers that provide clothes and essentials to families free of charge.
If you, or someone you know would benefit from these vouchers, simply fill out this form before Wednesday, February 12. If approved, you will be notified via email on Wednesday, February 19.
Give a Little, Get a Little
Asbury United Methodist Church strives to help those in need in many ways. Each year, they tithe 10 percent of their annual giving to dozens of local and international mission/nonprofit organizations. The church even runs its own food pantry and various assistance programs to serve neighbors near and far.
To help stock Asbury’s Food Pantry, bring canned goods/non-perishable items with you to the consignment sale. Each item donated will earn you one raffle entry. The prize: a check-out fast pass, which allows you to skip the dreaded check-out line.
Winners are drawn every 30 minutes.
Items that Keep on Giving
Selling gently used essentials for babies and children is a great way for parents to clear out unneeded items and make a few bucks in the process. But the positive impact of this consignment sale doesn’t stop there.
Items that don’t sell during the sale will be donated (with approval of consignors) to charities serving Shelby County and Birmingham areas. Some include:
- Oak Mountain Missions
- King’s Home
- Lovelady
- Shelby County Foster Care
Last year, the sale allowed Asbury United Methodist Church to help 55 families and donate thousands of items to local ministries around Birmingham.
