7 Cyber Monday deals to support Birmingham businesses from home
Every year as Black Friday rolled around, I used to be torn between staying cozy in bed or going out and braving the cold and crowds at The Summit. Then I learned about Cyber Monday, and now I stay in worry-free. But what about if you want a deal from a local Birmingham store?
Don’t leave your house yet, because we’ve scoured the internet and found deals you can purchase from the comfort of your couch while still supporting a local business. Here are seven Birmingham businesses offering online deals this Cyber Monday.
1. Alabama Symphony Orchestra
Cyber Monday deals don’t have to be just physical items, they can be experiences too. The Alabama Symphony Orchestra is offering a Cyber Monday sale where you can save 20% on any Masterworks and Coffee Concert tickets.
Coffee Concerts include Tchaikovsky’s Romeo & Juliet, Tango & Flamenco! and Mozart’s 40th Symphony. Masterworks show offerings include Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances, Beethoven’s Third Piano Concerto and The Enigma Variations.
This deal ends after Cyber Monday, so go ahead secure yourself a seat.
2. The Birmingham Zoo
Have little ones in your family that you want to give a unique present this year? Why not give them a year of Birmingham Zoo visits?
From Nov. 29-Dec. 2, get 15% off new Family or Family PLUS Memberships with the code NEWMEM19. Both memberships give holders unlimited visits to the Birmingham Zoo for an entire year, while Family PLUS offers the addition of unlimited rides during zoo hours.
Both memberships also offer perks like 10% off gift shop items and zoo restaurants, a free My Member Perks coupon book, invitations to member-only events and more.
3. Village Dermatology
Located in Mountain Brook, Village Dermatology has a number of Cyber Monday deals available this year.

From Black Friday until Cyber Monday, the store is offering sales on name brands like The North Face, Sperry and Patagonia. These sales cover men’s, women’s and children’s apparel, so there’s something for everyone.

5. Amtrak
If you’re like me and have always wanted to travel by train, now might be the best time to snag a ticket. Birmingham’s Amtrak has a special promotion running as a part of Cyber Monday.
From Black Friday through Cyber Monday, save 35% on one-way travel tickets nationwide. This deal only applies to tickets for journeys taking place Dec 9-April 30, 2020.
6. Birmingham Boulders
Looking for something new and adventurous to do? Birmingham Boulders‘ Cyber Monday deals have got you covered.
From Nov. 27 until Dec. 2, all the store’s gear is 25% off. Birmingham Boulders will also take $50 off of your deposit if you book an event with them during this time.
There are also $10 day passes available until the end of Cyber Monday.
7. Skin Wellness Dermatology
If you need something to help you feel rejuvenated, Skin Wellness Dermatology has the Cyber Monday deals for you. On Cyber Monday only, the store is offering 20% off all online products.
Products available on the site include CeraVe, Glytone and Colorscience.
