What is it?
The Women’s Initiative at Birmingham-based law firm Maynard Cooper & Gale is hosting a Forum of Alabama Businesswomen (FAB) Market on October 10, 2019. Featuring exclusively women-owned businesses, the market will run from 11:00 am to 7:00 p.m. at The Theodore. You’ll even get a free lunch and free cocktails if you register. We’re down for that.
We spoke with Maynard Cooper shareholder Lauren DeMoss to learn more about the event–more info is below!
Forum of Alabama Businesswomen = FAB
The Forum of Alabama Businesswomen is part of the Women’s Initiative at Maynard Cooper and Gale. “We are committed to furthering not only our female lawyers and cultivating their success in the firm, but also highlighting women in the community and bringing them together,” said DeMoss.
DeMoss and fellow Maynard shareholder Jennifer McEwen started hosting FAB events five years ago. “We thought this was a perfect way to connect with our existing clients, potential clients and other female business leaders across the community,” said DeMoss.
Each year has a different theme, and this year’s is “innovate and inspire the entrepreneurial mindset.” There was a FAB panel back in the spring, and next week’s market will showcase successful female entrepreneurs–which we are lucky to have plenty of here in Birmingham!
