The first annual Freedom Fest happened this past Saturday, July 27, and it was a hit. See some of the best moments in photos from Birmingham’s newest music + empowerment festival.

The Best from Freedom Fest 📸

This wasn’t just a music festival. It was art, performance, food, discussion, empowerment and so much more. The festival took place in Birmingham’s Civil Rights District at Kelly Ingram Park, St. Paul UMC and 16th Street Baptist Church.

It was inspiring to see some of Birmingham’s top movers and shakers not only speak about issues affecting disenfranchised communities, but inspire and equip listeners with tangible takeaways and actionable ideas on ways to make this community better.
