Did you know that Wednesday, May 29th, is National Biscuit Day? Biscuits are a major part of any Birmingham breakfast.
Here’s a guide to some of our favorite biscuits in Birmingham that you should try on National Biscuit Day.
1. Jack’s

Although Jack’s in Homewood is closed for renovations, we had to include them at the top of our list. I mean, we did say they were the best in the South… They have so many options from bacon, egg and cheese to chicken to pork chop biscuits, Jack’s is definitely a must for National Biscuit Day.

Whether you like to keep it simple or you tend to stray away from the traditional, you’ll find something just for you at Alabama Biscuit Company. From just the plain biscuit to the goat cheese, pecan and honey, everything is delicious.
3. Holler & Dash

Holler & Dash is always a go-to for biscuits and a tasty breakfast. Whether you want something simple or extravagant, there’s something for everyone. Milo’s is a long-time Alabama favorite. Although they’re very well-known for their hamburgers and sweet tea, don’t underestimate their delicious biscuits.

You’ve probably heard of the famous Philly cheese steak at Salem’s Diner, but have you tried their delicious biscuits? Their simple options like the bacon + egg or smoked sausage + egg are Southern staples that landed them a spot on this list.
