What are those? Coastal dune lakes sit just on the other side of the dunes. After large rain storms, the dunes open up straight into the Gulf. What results is a shallow basin about 5 ft. deep. Not only is it a neat and rare phenomenon, but it’s also a great spot to paddle board.
