Metro Diner and ALDI to open in Trussville, March 26 and April 4

More businesses are gearing up to open their doors in Trussville. Get ready for Metro Diner and ALDI.

If you’ve been in Trussville recently, you’ve seen Metro Diner’s bold green and white sign teasing the town with a soon-to-be place to dine. Well good news! The wait officially ends Tuesday, March 26 with the diner’s grand opening. 

Located in a brand-new development on Gadsden Highway, the diner is located next door to Chicken Salad Chick which opened its doors March 12.

Metro Diner will feature:

  • A made-from-scratch kitchen
  • Indoor seating for 108 guests
  • Outdoor patio seating for 20 guests

The Menu

The popular diner chain features a variety of dishes made from quality ingredients and signature dishes. Enjoy traditional breakfast items like eggs and bacon or lunch and dinner selections such as meatloaf, chicken and waffles and Charleston Shrimp and grits. Yum!

Along with serving notable comfort foods all day long, the eatery will also serve:

  • Gluten-friendly options
  • Beer, wine, mimosas and Bloody Marys

When to Dine

When can you grab a meal at Metro Diner in Trussville? Hours will be:

  • Mon.-Thurs. 7AM-2:30PM; 4:30-9PM
  • Fri.-Sat. 7AM-9PM
  • Sun. 7AM-8PM

ALDI

After you’ve had your fill at Metro Diner, you can head right across the highway to ALDI. The new store has officially set an opening date of Thursday, April 4. 

To celebrate the store opening, there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at 8:45AM, followed by a golden ticket giveaway. You’ll definitely want to attend because the first 100 customers will receive ALDI gift cards. 

Customers will also have the opportunity to:

  • Sample ALDI-exclusive foods
  • Enter sweepstakes for a chance to win a year’s supply of ALDI produce

The new Trussville store will take the place of the former location on Chalkville Mountain Road, which is set to close Sunday, March 31. Here’s what you can expect at the new location:

  • Open ceilings and natural lighting
  • Environmentally-friendly building materials
  • Additional refrigeration space to accommodate even more fresh, healthy and convenient products
