Have you ever felt the need to crush your fellow co-workers in a 5K race? Or, maybe you want to relive middle school gym class and pelt someone with a dodgeball. The Birmingham Corporate Challenge is coming to Railroad Park April 11-13, and it wants to give you the opportunity to do just that.

Time for Some Friendly Competition

The Corporate Challenge, sponsored by Chick-fil-A, brings employees together in a friendly competition that builds camaraderie. With so many companies shifting toward encouraging healthier habits and lifestyles, the Corporate Challenge also gives these businesses an opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments.

Teams compete against businesses of similar size and employee count. (Some teams have over 300 members ready to rumble!) Each event is scored, and don’t worry, there is sure to be an event for everyone on your team. Intense competitions include tug-of-war and obstacles courses. Not looking for intense? Then sign up for less athletic games, like the 10k bike stroll and cornhole.

This year’s Corporate Challenge charity partner is Redemptive Cycles, whose mission is to give people the chance to own their own bike at an affordable price. A portion of the event’s proceeds will go toward this organization, and teams are encouraged to donate further for more points.

Where Do I Sign Up?

You can sign up for this weekend of friendly competition on Birmingham Corporate Challenge’s website. If you’re anything like me, you’ll want to sign up early so you have time to get a few practices in. I can’t be the only one who’s a little rusty doing field day eventsright?

How ready are you and your workplace to participate in the Birmingham Corporate Challenge?
