Brät Brot will reopen this spring. Yaaaas!
You heard it here, folks. Birmingham’s favorite (and only) authentic biergarten, Brät Brot, will reopen its doors in Lakeview this spring, following its unexpected closure in December.
Owner David Carrigan announced the news in an email sent exclusively to some 1,800 patrons who filled out a feedback form posted on Brät Brot’s website, which Bham Now shared earlier with our readers. Here’s an excerpt from the email:

“Brät Brot WILL BE REOPENING this spring!”
Carrigan
So when Brät Brot reopens, how will it change? That remains to be seen. What we do know from Carrigan’s email is that the core concept behind Brät Brot—that is, what we love so much about it—will stay. However, there will be some changes that “result in a different, but more cohesive and enjoyable experience,” according to the email.
“We hope you are as excited as we are and look forward to seeing every one of you in the spring.”
