Reading time: 2 minutes
University of Alabama star linebacker Mack Wilson is dedicating tonight’s LSU game to Helen Abele, an Altamont School student who received a heart transplant yesterday at Children’s of Alabama.
With permission from Helen’s father, Fletcher Abele, here is the video that appeared on Twitter, posted by fellow Alabama player Mac Hereford.
Mack heard about Helen’s heart transplant and has a message for her. This is why you have to love college football. @iam__mw3o @habele19 @jfabele . We got your back Helen pic.twitter.com/PxPHRkj5qL

Here is Wilson’s message:
“Hey Helen, this is Mack Wilson, University of Alabama linebacker. I just want to say, I’m very proud of you, and the Crimson Tide has your back. Tomorrow, I will be dedicating the game to you and your family.”
Prayers and remembrance
Many prayers to Helen, her family, Helen’s Angels and the incredible medical staff at Children’s Alabama. Please remember the donor and their family. None of this would have been possible without the compassion and generosity of the donor’s family, in their darkest hour.
In the biggest game of the year against LSU, the Crimson Tide has Helen Abele’s back.
Thank you Mack Wilson.
